Surfers Paradise’s famous venue the Arts Centre Gold Coast has been renovated, revamped, and rebranded to HOTA - Home of the Arts; featuring a fantastic new outdoor stage!

HOTA is now completed after two years of planning and renovation, with a brand new 20-metre-wide outdoor stage surrounded in green parklands; set to be the next best location on the Gold Coast for upcoming concerts, events, and festivals. Visit the brand new HOTA in Surfers Paradise this May for two unmissable events taking place on the new outdoor stage!

‘Dancing on the Green’ is an upcoming dance event taking place at HOTA’s brand new outdoor stage and parklands. This family-friendly event will feature several live bands and DJs playing everything from swing to club sounds for over five hours! Come along to dance and soak up the good vibes with ‘Dancing on the Green’ at HOTA on May 19. For those that love to dance, this is a must-attend!

Catch a spectacular music production honouring Churaki - an Aboriginal man known as Gold Coast’s first-ever surf lifesaver - with ‘The Spirit of Churaki’. This brand new music production is both inspiring and educational; telling the still relatively unknown story of Churaki. ‘The Spirit of Churaki’ is family-friendly and welcomes all ages and backgrounds to enjoy its superb lineup of Australian surf rock legends. On the lineup are Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie, Martin Rotsey (Midnight Oil), Jack Howard (Hunters & Collectors), Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes), and lots more - performing only the best of Australian surf rock. ‘The Spirit of Churaki’ takes place on the outdoor stage at HOTA on May 26.
